talk about a pain body wow ouch
Very good. Says a lot. I had a girlfriend once who had a gay best friend; unfortunately he took a bit of a shine to me too and the two very nearly stopped being best friends until he toned it down! It's the only time in my life I've had both a woman and a man fighting over me! :-) What an experience! My old shift partner was a lesbian and I got on really well with her. I can understand why people enjoy the company of homosexuals of the opposite sex. While working with Sandy it was wonderful to be in the company of a woman and not have the burden of sexual forces along with it. Not that there's anything wrong with sexual forces per se, it's just that when they're absent I realize how intimidating they can be sometimes.
This story I tell above actually has a poignant conclusion. The gay best friend, Jess, told me that he'd agreed with the girlfriend, Sonia, that when he died he'd be buried wearing the Sonia's wedding dress! He only meant it as a joke, but it was a joke that turned sour. Just a year or two after I split up with Sonia Jess did die; he was only in his late 30's. He never got his wish to wear Sonia's wedding dress in the coffin. I don't know why.
I would love to hear what you think of this post! I try to reply to every comment (if there is a delay, I am probably away from an internet connection or abroad)
