Edith Piaf Lunch: Susan Black sings

Susan Black has a show in which she performs Edith Piaf. She came along and sang at my Edith Piaf lunch. It's extraordinary but she doesn't speak French, she learn it all phonetically. The combination of her voice and Tom Baker's accordion along with Absinthe cocktails from Pernod made one of my most memorable events. Do go and see her, I think she's brilliant.
Menu
Cocktail d'absinthe. The table was lined up with absinthe fountains dripping water over sugar cubes.
Salade des endives aux noisettes et au fromage bleu (et celeriac remoulade)
Plie au persillade et sauce buerre blanc

Timbale de legumes avec tofu et halloumi
Gratin dauphinois/e (after much debate on Twitter, it appears 'dauphinois' should be masculine. But I've decided that with extra cream it's feminine and I make mine with a high cream to potato ratio!)
Petits pois à la francaise avec des petits onions blancs
Assiette de fromages

Tarte tatin aux pommes et aux kiwis
Glace creme fraiche faite à la maison
 Buveuse d'absinthe

Read from the bottom up!

Not, I suspect, on Twitter. They're still debating what to call it in French: transmissions sociales en commun?

I'm up to p10 French google & it's mostly 'dauphinois'.Is l'academie francaise on Twitter? Wrong in my book too

becuase its been made by a generous female and not a stingy male?

it'll be gratin dauphinois. Gratin is masculine so has to agree with it.

in france it is a gratin dauphinois but you might see patate dauphinoise or pommes de terre (a la) dauphinoise.

I'm certain it is 'dauphinoise' and I'd guess it is because 'methode', which is understood, is fem. I think 'facon' is too.

un gratin (a la mode) dauphinoise....adjective agrees with la mode (feminine)

it's gratin dauphinois or pommes à la dauphinoise. I think the mix-up only occurs on English lang. sites.

Is it gratin dauphinoise or gratin dauphinois. It's un gratin, une pomme de terre.
