Travel

Much of my inspiration as a chef comes from my travels. One is more likely to be able to afford to eat out and I love finding out about new ingredients and dishes. I've travelled mostly independently but also accept press trips, ideally on my own. Most of my supper clubs are as a result of a trip somewhere.
My goal is to immerse myself as much as I can in the culture, note the famous landmarks as well as the unknown, hang out with the locals and try to notice their quirks, differences and similarities. When possible, I like to meet local writers, food or otherwise, and bloggers. As a professional photographer, I also try to take truthful, beautiful pictures.
